The “3 Fs” of Effective Parenting

Firm:  Consequences should be clearly stated and then adhered to when the inappropriate behavior occurs.

Fair:  The punishment should fit the crime. also in the case of recurring behavior consequences should be stated in advance so the child knows what to expect. harsh punishment is not necessary. using a simple Time out can be effective when it is used consistently every time behavior occurs. Also use of reward for a period of time like part of a day or a whole day when no Time outs or maybe only one Time Out is received.

Friendly:  Use a friendly but firm communication style when letting a children know they have behaved inappropriately and let them know they will receive the "agreed upon" consequence. Encourage them to try to remember what they should do instead to avoid future consequences. Work at "Catching them being good" and praise them for appropriate behavior.

Soul-Mate Vs Life-Partner

Soul-Mate Vs Life-Partner
In life everyone fall in love. A true lover automatically becomes a soul-mate. Before you find your soul mate, you must first discover your soul.
Lets check the differences between a soul-mate and a life-partner.

1. A soul-mate is always in your heart.
He/she might be alive or dead, near or away, married to someone else... But there is a feeling of awareness in your heart, you can feel him/her there.
Life-partner needs to be alive, near you, in a relationship/married to you.

2. Spiritual connect - You don't need memories to remember a soul mate. You don't even need to remember him/her again and again. Every moment you meet him/her, it starts from where you left.
A life-partner is based on a balance of memories created with him/her. If the memories are positive, the life-partner would seem more lovable and vice-versa.

3. There is no place for judgement. A soul-mate makes you fall in love with you flaws. You are willing to change your entire thought process from him/her. You are even ready to break away from all rules and regulations.
A life-partner is based on regulations and expectations. Judgement is essential part of the relationship.

4. With a soul-mate a fight is an act of Love - You patch up without any grudges. You forget the fight the moment you patch up. You don't feel hurt, there is no ego, No need to prove who is superior.
With a life-partner a fight is a battle of egos. You are extremely concerned about your expectations. Grudges are kept in the mind. There is need to prove who is superior.

5. Soul-mates don't care about the "rules and regulations of the society".
Life-partner is based on the rules and regulations of the society.

6. Soul mates are ready to sacrifice. They care for each other more than themselves. They might keep their pain/problems in their heart, but will always be ready to cure the pain of the other.
Life-Partners are more selfish. They don't sacrifice without something in return.

7. Soul-mates love never dies. No matter how much they hurt each other, fight or move away in life... they will eventually reconnect at some point and connect at different planes of love. Their love is more spiritual than physical.
Life-Partners are more human. They have conditional love. Love that can fade away with even with time. Love is covered by possessiveness, expectations, memories and ego. Once they part ways, they might never reconnect with each other.

Remember No relationship choice is wrong till its in accordance with your personality.
You might be a spiritually high personality and require a soul-mate.
You might be a personality based in practicality and require a life-partner.
The choice is yours.

How to handle your child’s TV time

Now a days this is the most prompt question for each and every parents. children are very much fond of TV. many time they forget rest of the things because of the TV show. You have all tried by hardly to make them understand stop over watching of TV then to they are not listening to you.. you have used all your techniques to make them realized the fact but ultimate outcome is zero. If you have realized that you cannot stop your children from watching TV, here are tips that at least help you to get the best out of the idiot box.
  • Select the program your children watch
Choose the programs your children should watch, of course keeping in mind their likes and dislikes. As far as possible, avoid the overdose of sex and violence that is integral to many TV programmes. It adversely affects impressionable minds. You should be able to clearly underline the programmes not meant for children, at least in the initial years. This task is not easy, but one can make a dent when the children are in their formative years. Watch channels like Discovery, Animal planet, History, National Geography...etc.. while watching this you can see that kids are properly involve in this. they are watching it  with full of concentration.
  • Watch with them
Let TV time be family time. While answering your children’s queries about television, try to understand their thinking processes.  Not only will that establish your rapport with your children, but it will mean quality time that will be cherished throughout life. If they asking you question regarding the same show, that time don't get irritated or don't neglect their curies. try to help them to get their curies short out. you may can build up very much strong relationship n bonding with your kids. watch even cartoon with them and just laugh and make them also laugh.
  • Arouse their curiosity
Ask them questions related to their favorite programmes. TV can be a learning experience if TV watching is made interactive by nature. For instance, while watching a science quiz/mythological serial/chat show, ask them to relate to their classroom experiences.
  • TV time should never be overlapped with meals
Doctors often warn against watching television during dinnertime. Watching TV while eating can cause severe and chronic indigestion. It can also lead to obesity as children sit glued to the TV set. Moreover, they do not enjoy food while concentrating on their favorite programmes. They have to be taught to ration their TV viewing. Otherwise, they will never enjoy other forms of entertainment like reading, outdoor games and sports, swimming and various performing arts. Children have to be consciously introduced to these avenues.
  • Discourage late night television viewing
Children, especially the school-going kind, should never be allowed to watch TV after ten’ o’clock in the night. Not only does it affect the eyesight, but it also disturbs the morning routine on the next day. Inculcate the early-to-bed early to rise habit in your little ones. And for this you strictly follows the same.
